INGREDIENTS:

  • Tomatoes : 250 grams
  • Mustard Oil : 2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds : ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida (Hing) : ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder : 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder : ½ tsp
  • Kashmiri Lal Mirch Powder : 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar – 4 tsp

DIRECTIONS:

  1. First of all, we will take 250 grams of raw green tomatoes.

2. Roughly chopped all the tomatoes.

3. Then heat 2 tsp oil in a pan.

4. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds.

5. ½ tsp mustard seeds.

6. Add ½ tsp Asafoetida (hing).

7. Now add chopped green tomatoes and mix.

8. Then add 2 tsp coriander powder.

9. Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp kashmiri lal mirch, and salt to taste.

10. Mix well all the ingredients.

11. Cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

12. When the tomatoes become a little soft, add 4 spoons of sugar to it.

13. Mix well.

14. Now cover and cook for another 2 minutes on low flame or until the sugar dissolves well.

15. Green Tomato sabji is ready, now turn of the flame.

16. Enjoy!!! This khati mithi sabji with hot roti.
