Instant Recipe for Moong/Mung Dal with Palak:
Drench the moong dal for half an hour in the water in the wake of washing it completely with water. Wash the spinach leaves twice and strain the water. Presently hack the leaves with the assistance of a chopper or with a blade. Make a glue of tomato, green stew and ginger or use them chopped.
Warmth ghee/oil into the vessel and put heeng and cumin seeds into it. Put turmeric powder, red bean stew powder into the cooker once the cumin seeds turns dark colored. Mix with the assistance of a spoon and put tomato ginger glue into it. Cook the masala until the oil begins to skim at the top. Put moong dal and spinach into the masala and meal for 2-3 minutes. Pour 2 little glasses of water and close the cover of the cooker. Weight the cooker for upto 5 whistles. Moon dal with spinach is prepared. Take it out in a serving bowl and pour 1-2 tea spoon ghee on the ghee and trimming with coriander leaves. Serve the dal with naan, chapati and parantha.
INGREDIENTS:
- Oil or Ghee – 3 tsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida (Hing) – a pinch
- Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Tomatoes – 2 finely chopped
- Spinach (पालक) – 1 bowl
- Moong Daal – 1 bowl
- Water – 2 glass or as required.
DIRECTIONS:
- Firstly, take a pressure cooker and heat 3 tsp oil or ghee.
2. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds.
3. Add a pinch of Asafoetida (Hing).
4. Add 1 spoon garlic paste and saute for a while.
5. Further add 1 finely chopped onion and fry until onion color changes to golden brown.
6. Now add 1 tsp turmeric powder.
7. Add 1 tsp red chilli powder.
8. 2 tsp coriander powder.
9. Mix it well and cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame.
10. Add salt as per taste and mix well.
11. Now add 2 finely chopped tomatoes.
12. Addd Spinach (पालक) and saute slightly.
13. Add 1 bowl of moong dal (Green gram dal).
14. Lastly, add 2 glass of water (you can adjust the consistency adding water if required).
15. Mix well.
16. Pressure cook for 5 whistles medium flame or until dal is cooked completely.
17. Now the moong dal is ready to serve, transfer it into a bowl (Adjust the consistency adding water if required and simmer for 5 minutes or until the flavours are absorbed well).
