Palak Soup Recipe | पालक सूप | Healthy Spinach Soup Recipe

Palak Soup or Spinach Soup recipe or better known as palak ka soup with step by step video and image recipe. here is one easy and tasty low-calorie spinach soup recipe. Its good for every occasion , especially when its raining or during winter time. it is too comforting to sip and sip from a bowl of steaming hot soup in cold weather.

This spinach soup is a good way to include healthy greens in your diet and is low calorie too. despite being one of the healthiest greens, not everyone likes the taste of spinach and that is especially true in the case of some kids and adults alike.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Butter – 1 tsp
  • Bay Leaf (tej patta) – 1
  • Garlic cloves – 2-3
  • Onion – 1 cup chopped
  • Spinach (Palak) leaves – 2 cup chopped
  • Salt to tatse
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Water – 2 glass
  • Cumin powder – 1 tsp

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Firstly, heat 1 tsp butter in a pan or kadai.

2. Add 1 bay leaf (tej patta) and saute for 2-3 seconds.

3. Further, add 2-3 chopped garlic. Saute till the garlic is lightly brown. Fry the garlic on low flame.

4. Now add 1 cup chopped onion. Saute till the onions are softened.

5. Add 2 cups of washed and finely chopped palak leaves.

6. Add salt as per taste.

7. Add ½ tsp black pepper and saute on medium flame for a minute till they shrink in size.

8. Now add 2 glass of water.

9. Add 1 tsp cumin powder and stir well.

10. Now boil or simmer the mixture 3-4 minutes and afterwards turn off the flame and let the soup mixture cool.

11. Remove the bay leaf (tej patta).

12. Transfer the mixture to blender and blend to smooth puree.

13. Now transfer the blended puree to the same pan or kadai.

14. Get the puree to a boil or simmer for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

15. Serve hot palak or spinach soup with some freshly crushed black pepper. You can also add some low-fat cream, if you want. ENJOY!!!!!!
