INGREDIENTS:

  • Roasted Oats : 1 cup
  • Poha (Rice Flakes or flattened or beaten rice) : 1 cup
  • Sooji (Semolina) : 3 tsp
  • Lukewarm water (to soak poha and oats) : 1 cup (as required)
  • Boiled Potato : 1 medium size
  • Paneer : ½ Slice (100 grams)
  • Onion : 1 finely chopped
  • Ginger paste : 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice : 1 tsp
  • Aamchur (dried mango) powder : ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder : ½ tsp
  • Turmeric (Haldi) powder : ¼ tsp
  • Coriander Powder : 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds : 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Ghee or Oil : 3 tsp
  • Oil for frying cutlets.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Firstly, take a large bowl and add 1 cup roasted oats.

2. Add 1 cup poha (flattened or beaten rice).

3. Add 3 tsp sooji (semolina) .

4. Further, pour lukewarm water.

5. Mix it well and leave it for 5-10 minutes.

6. Lets prepare masala, add 1 boil aloo in a large bowl.

7. Add ½ Slice (100 grams) paneer.

8. Now mash potato and paneer.

9. Add 1 finely chopped onion.

10. Add 1 tsp ginger paste.

11. Add 1 tsp lemon juice.

12. Add ½ tsp aamchur (dried mango) powder.

13. ½ tsp red chilli powder.

14. Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder.

15. Add 1 tsp coriander powder.

16. 15. Add 1 tsp coriander seeds.

17. Now add the soaked mixture of poha, oats and sooji.

18. Add salt as per taste.

19. Add 3 tsp ghee or oil and mix well.

20. Combine well making sure a dough is formed.

21. Poha oats cutlet dough is ready.

22. Now grease a plate with oil or ghee and keep aside.

23. Before making patties greasing hand with oil or ghee.

24. Take a small ball sized dough.

25. Further flatten the patties and prepare the cutlets or patties as shown in image.

26. Put the patties into fridge for 10 minutes.

27. Heat oil in a pan and fry it. (You can also shallow fry or deep fry the cutlets in hot oil).

28. Now place the prepared patties and fry on medium flame

29. Apply oil on top of the patties.

30. Flip over once the base turns golden brown.

31. Fry both sides until it turns golden brown and crisp.

32. Poha oats cutlets are ready, now turn off the flame and transfer cutlets in a plate.

33. Finally….ENJOY!!!! poha oats cutlet with mint dip or tomato sauce.
