Bourbon Biscuit Cake Recipe | बूरबॉन बिस्कुट केक | Biscuit Cake Recipe | Eggless Chocolate Cake

A classical and evergreen Bourbon cake recipe made without the soda, egg, and oven using just Kadhai, it is easy to make and can be a good alternative to the cakes available in the market which are usually stuffed with starch and cake flour. This easy-to-make recipe can be made anytime without much effort and can be served as a party cake and can be used as a gift for loved ones.

Cake recipes that are easy to make are a hot topic nowadays and one can have them at any time of the day without waiting for the special occasion to arrive. This recipe can be served as a snack with tea or coffee or can be consumed as a dessert. The recipe does not include the use of oven, egg, and soda which makes it ideal for vegetarian individuals. Making the cake soft and spongy becomes very difficult as it requires the use of an oven, with that said I am sharing this recipe which uses bourbon biscuit powder in place of cake flour, Dark chocolate in place of cocoa powder, and Eno to make it soft and spongy, for this recipe I opted steaming in place of baking.

      For making this recipe a finger-licking dessert there are some tips and recommendations, firstly try to select chocolate Bourbon as for the vanilla one and then grind it. Secondly, try to make the batter lump-free, and most importantly tap the batter 2-3 times to remove the air. Lastly, for the better enhancement of the flavor, serve it with tea or coffee or try frosting it with melted chocolate.

INGEDIENTS:

For Cake Batter:

  • 2 Packet bourbon biscuit (120 grams each)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 sachet ENO

For Chocolate Ganache:

  • 250 grams dark chocolate (2 cup)
  • 150 grams fresh cream
  • ½ tsp butter

Chocolate Flower for Cake:

  • 6 pieces of bourbon biscuits
  • ½ tsp milk

For Cake Decoration:

  • 2-3 packets of gems
  • Few silver and colorful balls.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Firstly, grease cake mould with oil or ghee.

2. Place baking paper and grease it again.

3. Take 2 packets of bourbon biscuit (120 grams each).

4. Break all the biscuits and transfer into a mixing jar.

5. Grind and make a fine powder.

6. Transfer in a large bowl.

7. Take 1 cup milk and add gradually.

8. Mix well.

9. Further add 1 sachet of ENO.

10. Now pour 1 tsp milk over the ENO.

11. Mix well.

12. Cake Batter is ready.

13. Transfer the cake batter in prepared mould.

14. Tap twice to remove the air bubbles.

15. Place the cake batter in preheated (10 minutes) Kadai.

16. Cover it and bake on low flame for 30 minutes or in preheated (10 minutes) oven at 180 degree celsius for 15 minutes.

17. Remove lid and check after 30 minutes with knife or toothpick, baked completely by checking its not sticked to knife.

18. Knife comes out clean it means cake is baked, if batter sticks on knife or toothpick then bake it for another 5-10 minutes or until its not sticked to knife. Let it cool completely.

19. Demould cake when cool completely and keep aside.

Chocolate Ganache Preparation:

  1. Take 250 grams chopped dark chocolate (2 cup).

2. Add 150 grams (1 cup) fresh cream.

3. Add ½ tsp butter.

4. Mix well and leave it for 5 minutes.

5. Now take a hot water in a sauce pan and melt the chocolate by using double boiler method.

6. Mix well.

7. Chocolate ganache is ready, now keep it in fridge for 10 minutes to set.

Chocolate Flower Preparation:

  1. Take 6 pieces of bourbon biscuits and break it into small pieces.

2. Grind it and make a fine powder.

3. Transfer the prepared biscuit powder in a bowl.

4. Now add ½ tsp milk and knead a dough.

5. Pinch small ball size dough.

6. Flatten it with the help of hands.

8. Make 5-6 small pooris and place all 5 pooris on one another on rolling board.

9. Now roll the pooris as shown in photo (Check video also).

10. Cut it from the center with the help of knife.

11. Chcolate flower is ready for cake decoration, put it in fridge.

Process To Assemble The Cake:

  1. Now trim the cake from the top and cut it from the middle.

2. Take a plate and apply chocolate ganache on it to stick the cake layers.

3. Now put it on 1st slice of cake.

4. Apply sugar syrup on cake. (1/4 cup water + 2 tsp sugar).

5. Then apply chocolate ganache and spread it evenly.

6. Place 2nd layer of cake slice and repeat the process.

7. Cover the cake from all the sides.

8. Keep it in fridge for 20 minutes to set.

9. For Dripping: Add 2 tsp milk in leftover ganache and heat up in double boiler method and mix well.

10. Fill it in the piping bag.

11. Cut the piping bag as shown in photo.

12. Drip it in the edges of the cake.

13. Further, our the leftover chocolate on the top of the cake.

14. Spread it evenly.

15. Now keep it in fridge for 15 minutes.

16. After set, start decorating (make design of your choice).

17. Firstly, place the gems on edges of cake

18. Then place the prepared chocolate flowers.

19. Sprinkle some silver and colorful balls on flowers and cake.

20. Yummy and delicious CHOCOLATE CAKE is ready…….. ENJOY!!!!!
