Nariyal Peda is indeed a coconut, milk powder, and sugar-based milk dessert or pede recipe. It’s a deliciously creamy Diwali treat that can be substituted for any fancy cookie recipe. It’s created by using basic ingredients like – Desicaated coconut, powdered sugar and milk powder and it’s also delicious and simple recipe to make. The coconut taste is strong, and the texture is superb in this melt-in-your-mouth and soft pedas. Almost everyone, regardless of age or gender, will appreciate these delicious nariyal pedas.

This Nariyal peda dish is sure to satisfy a wide range of palates. It’s also delicious, nutty, and a great way to fulfill your sweet tooth. Sweets are a necessary part of Indian festivals. In Indian tradition, desserts called mithai are required during all celebrations. In India, autumn is a happy period. A heatwave and rainfall have hit the country, and the festival season is set to begin.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Malai – 2 tsp
  • Powdered Sugar – 4 tsp
  • Milk Powder – 3 tsp
  • Desiccated Coconut – 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
  • Cashew, Almonds and Raisins – 4 each
  • Yellow food colour – a pinch (optional)
  • Pista for decoration (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl add 2 tsp malai.

2. Add 4 tsp powdered sugar.

3. Add 3 tsp milk powder.

4. Mix well and make a smooth paste.

5. Further add 1 cup desiccated coconut.

6. Add ½ tsp cardamom powder.

7. Now mix all the ingredients with hand and making sure the coconut is well combined and absorbs all the malai.

8. Mixture hold shape, if not then add 1 or 2 tsp malai for binding.

9. Now add finely chopped almond, cashew and raisins  (you can add dry fruits of your choice).

10. Add pinch of yellow food colour (optional) and mix well.

11. Peda dough is ready. Let’s prepare the peda.

12. Start to prepare small ball sized peda.

13. Now press slightly with both palms.

14. Make a small hole using the finger.

15. Prepare all the peda’s with the same process.

16. Finally, garnish with pista or any nuts of your choice.
